They photograph a wide variety of natural subjects, including animals and their environment. Although they travel widely for their images, they pay particular attention to Pacific Northwest subjects.

Lew and Marti create art prints and note cards of their images primarily for direct sale to the public. They regularly participate in art fairs and public markets. Their images are also available on the Web.

They also license images to book publishers, magazines, newspapers, zoos, state parks and regional government agencies.

Lew has been a writer, editor and communications manager for regional governments in Washington state. He also taught English at a major university and holds a doctorate in English. He was an undergraduate fine arts minor with a focus on oil painting.

Marti has held administrative, contract management and marketing positions for several firms in the Seattle area. She also taught college-level English and has a master's degree in English.

Long-time residents of the Northwest, Lew and Marti now live in Salem, Ore. Previously they lived in Bellevue, Wash. They have also lived in Ohio, Indiana and Kansas.
