This sanctuary is located on Westham Island at the mouth of the Fraser River, just north of the U.S./Canada border. The snow goose flocks in the Skagit spend some of their time up here and vice versa. While Skagit viewing is mostly from the car, Reifel has paved paths and trails making waterfowl viewing much easier. We even shared the trail with three lesser sandhill cranes for a stretch along the top of a dike.
