We offer two tutorial formats:
(A) Use of camera, and (B) In-depth instruction.

A. Use of camera

If you have the manual for your camera:

$30 for a 1-hour session
$50 for two 1-hour sessions.

If you don’t have the manual for your camera:

$50 for a 1-hour session
$75 for two one-hour sessions.

Format A includes 30 days telephone/e-mail support.

B. In-depth instruction

Components — Mix and Match

Evaluation – before shooting, after shooting or both

$20/hr., 1 hr. min.

We review images with you to identify strengths and weaknesses. If you are shooting film, we recommend a session before shooting because we can’t review your images while we shoot. The 1-hour minimum can be split before and after the shooting session and does not have to be the same day as shooting.

Shooting at a local venue, your choice

$25/hr., 2 hr. min.

The longer you shoot, the more conditions and subjects you will face and the more you will learn. Local venues for shooting must be within a 15-mile radius of Salem. Other venues will be considered with an additional fee. We expect to cover appropriate use of flash and filters, when to change ISO, exposure compensation and composition.

Computer (Photoshop) demo session

$30/hr., ½ hr. min.

Want to improve your images for printing? Even if you don’t have your own printer, optimizing, sizing and sharpening will improve your prints.

Format B includes 90 days of phone/e-mail support.
