Our interest and expertise are in photographing the natural world.
If your interest is making images of people or buildings we wish you well, but our workshops will not satisfy your needs. Some of the same techniques apply, but not all.
If your interests overlap with ours in the great outdoors, then come study with us. When you study a living thing closely, you learn to respect that thing. Sometimes we pick our photographic subjects because we already admire and respect them.
But sometimes we photograph them because they are there and then learn about them and come to respect and admire them too. These are not photographs that always sell well, but they do generate conversation at art fairs.
If you have a camera and you’re not making the most of it, the answer is obvious. If you’re taking images that friends and family are excited about, the answer is a little harder to see. But are you in a rut? Seeing the same things in the same way?
A workshop can jog you into a new vision or introduce some new techniques that can change how you see and photograph your subjects.
Impeccable Images workshops aren’t the answer for you if you want to branch out into non-natural-world subjects. But if you want a new view of the natural world, we can help.
Usually we will also be shooting at our workshops. That helps us to see the possibilities, and our images are also up for discussion and dissection in the evaluation sessions.
We provide classes on photography, of 1½-3 hours in length, through groups such as Salem Audubon. Contact us if you would like your non-profit group to provide such a class.
